We are currently looking for a Head of SEO to join our team (full-time) in Vienna. Intrigued?

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with TourRadar’s business goals, focusing on increasing organic search visibility and user engagement.
  • Manage and lead the SEO team, providing vital guidance and overseeing the individual development of team members spanning from Content SEO to Technical SEO specialists.
  • Monitor organic traffic on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to assess traffic trends compared to the previous week, month, year
  • Analyse user metrics and conversions to understand user intent and inform SEO decisions
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and business development teams to disseminate SEO best practices. Ensure that all teams are aligned with the SEO strategy to maximize organic reach and visibility across all company initiatives.
  • Analyze crawl and indexing behaviour to gain insights that can be turned into optimizations
  • Find areas for increasing organic traffic in a white hat, scalable, and measurable way
  • Large-scale, in-depth keyword research to discover the best opportunities for optimization
  • Utilize findings from keyword research, along with in-depth SEO knowledge, to draft detailed technical specifications for the engineering team. These specifications should include recommendations on HTML markup, internal linking strategies, and the optimization of metadata like titles and descriptions, as well as guidance on sitemap inclusion to enhance site structure and discoverability.

What You’ll Need To Bring To Your Adventure

  • 5+ years of in-house SEO work experience with an industry-leading website
  • You know SEO and search marketing inside and out, and are passionate about it! You’re keen on keeping up to date with the latest developments and thoroughly enjoy the analytical side of search marketing
  • You understand that SEO is all about the details, while not missing the bigger picture of business goals
  • You understand the importance of quantifying your ideas and proposals and have the knowledge and skills to be able to support your ideas with data
  • You thrive when surrounded by numbers, large amounts of data, and thinking at scale
  • You have a deep understanding of the technical aspects of SEO, while being acutely aware of the role marketing plays in SEO
  • You are a true problem solver with a passion for digital challenges, committed to finding a solution at all costs
  • You come up with new ideas and translate these ideas into traffic and revenue projection
  • You can work effectively with a variety of teams across the business, such as engineering, product, and design teams
  • You are results-driven and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Expert-level Google Analytics and Search Console knowledge
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL
  • Exposure to JS, PHP, or other languages is strongly desired
  • Demonstrable track record of business results through SEO
